1. How AI Is Used
AI supports specific parts of the client workflow where it significantly improves clarity, speed, and excellence. All calls are recorded and transcribed, always with the client's knowledge and consent. We analyse transcripts to isolate action items and identify patterns, opportunities, and concerns. AI tools are frequently used in the structuring and analysis of models, scenarios, and sensitivities, and to organise convoluted structures into simplified data streams. Third-party AI tools are used selectively within internal workflows where they meet the required standard.
2. How Outputs Are Handled
Exploratory analysis is where AI earns its place most naturally. Client deliverables are a different matter. AI may assist in the early stages, but every piece is worked through carefully and finished by hand. Models and counterparty-facing materials carry the most commercial consequence and are built directly, checked thoroughly, and signed off on by Valentine.
3. Oversight
Every use of AI sits inside intentionally designed and carefully controlled processes. Work that carries greater consequence receives deeper scrutiny. Valentine applies careful judgment throughout. AI functions as a layer within the work, rather than a source of authority.
4. Data Handling
All client data is handled with care and restraint. Access is carefully restricted, and retention is kept to what is operationally necessary. Where third-party tools are involved, they are configured to minimise data retention. Client data is never used to train public AI models.
5. Tools & Providers
Tools are selected with discernment. We use enterprise-grade providers renowned for their performance, ethics and data protections. Any tool that claims ownership of client data is excluded. We currently use market-leading AI solutions Fathom and Anthropic, both fully GDPR compliant, SOC 2 Type II certified, and operating under formal Data Processing Agreements.
6. Legal Alignment
We take our obligations under UK GDPR and ICO guidance seriously. We monitor developments under the EU AI Act and related frameworks closely, and update our practices as the landscape evolves.
